What Is Low level Laser therapy (LLLT)
Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) uses gentle, focused laser light to stimulate specific acupuncture points located on the outer ear. In auricular (ear) therapy, different points on the ear are believed to correspond with various organs, systems, and functions within the body. The laser provides a non-invasive alternative to traditional acupuncture needles, delivering light energy to these points without discomfort. What Happens In Laser Therapy For Addictions?
The Soft Laser is focused on approximately specific energy points or meridians on the ears. This is found to be a highly pleasant sensation which patients look forward to.

Auricular Laser Acupuncture: Why the ear?
More than 200 acupuncture points can be found within the ear. All these points represent specific organ systems and functions within the body.

Paul Nogier, a French neurologist took interest in the field after witnessing a colleague working with the ear for pain.
In the early 1950’s, Dr. Paul Nogier noticed that a local healer (Mme Barrin) in Lyon, France, was treating sciatica by cauterizing an area of the ear. This observation prompted him to investigate the relationship between locations on the ear and human anatomy. Nogier concluded there was a somatotopic presentation of the inverted fetus in the ear, the anatomic regions of the fetus corresponding to specific zones of the ear (see Figures 2 and 3). Nogier came to believe that pain in any part of the body could be relieved by either needling, cauterizing, massaging or electrically stimulating the region of the ear that corresponded with the anatomical area of the pain.
He then developed a microsystem, which showed great detail of how the entire body’s neurological system, as it relates to brain function, may be treated through the ear. This was referred to as the Homunculus.
In 1957, the Chinese acupuncture accepted his research and expanded on it.
The entire imprint of the body, including veins, arteries, internal organs, nerves, muscles ligaments, tendons, tissue, and cartilage, can all be reached through nerve endings found in the ear. As such the entire body can be treated from within the ear.
